I'm currently in Hangzhou, an amazing tech valley in China that has become a powerhouse for AI and robotics innovation.

From watching these robots dazzle on the CNY Gala stage to seeing them up close in exhibition halls, the energy is palpable. What strikes me most is the clear differentiation among the leading players. Each has carved out a unique niche:
• Unitree: Legged locomotion champion. Global leader in quadruped sales (70% market share). From backflipping H1 to agile Go2, 90% self-developed components.
• Zhiyuan: Commercialization frontrunner. #1 global humanoid shipments (2025). Deep B2B integration with European giants.
• PaXini: Tactile sensing pioneer. PX-6AX sensors give robots human-like touch, game-changer for precision assembly.
• DeepRobotics: Industrial "doer". Power line inspection, emergency rescue. Local service network including Hungary innovation center.
Beyond the technology itself, the most astonishing thing is the speed. The majority of these groundbreaking companies have emerged or made their biggest leap in humanoid robotics in just the last 2-3 years.
In the West, we often discuss the future of robotics in terms of decades. Here, it feels like it's being built in real-time, at an accelerated pace. This rapid iteration is fueled by a complete ecosystem – from cutting-edge AI models and specialized component suppliers to aggressive commercialization channels.
It's a powerful reminder that in tech, momentum matters as much as vision. The question isn't just "what can a robot do?" but "how quickly can that capability be deployed and improved upon?"
